Free Advertising for Free Advertising is Effective

Update: I've now recruited a total of almost 300 members to Viral Maxx and most of the recent recruits have come through a great new free advertising system called LeadsLeap. LeadsLeap takes a very unique and very effective approach to free advertising. You set up a text ad and they send out newsletters with useful information. Your text ads appear in those newsletters. It's like getting pay per click (PPC) advertising for free. Of course, they also have a paid membership which gets your ads a lot more exposure too.

For the last two weeks I've been busy promoting the Viral Maxx program that I wrote about earlier. Viral Maxx is a free viral traffic system which also allows you to build your own e-mail list. Since Viral Maxx is in pre-launch I wanted to get a good base of members to help seed the system.

I knew from previous experience that if you want to advertise something that is free, especially if it is free advertising, free traffic systems can be very effective. I decided to start with the free advertising system that I was most familiar with and had the most credits with: GOT Safelist.

GOT Safelist is by a wide margin the best safe list I've used. This was proven once again in promoting Viral Maxx. It had been a number of months since I used GOT Safelist and I had built up a lot of credits from my referrals. I basically went on an advertising blitz with GOT Safelist and sent e-mail to the list with different headlines and different ad text as often as the rules permitted. To date, I have recruited about 25 members just from GOT Safelist.

I have also been using other safe lists and traffic exchanges that offer free advertising to promote Viral Maxx. Although all of these sites offer some form of free advertising, I've not exclusively used free advertising to promote Viral Maxx. When deciding whether to use free advertising or paid advertising there is always a trade-off between time and money. It is possible to get the same results with free advertising but it just takes more time.

Because I wanted to build a downline quickly during pre-launch at Viral Maxx I decided to pay for most of my advertising, however, I didn't pay much for it. The following is a list of the sites I've used in advertising the free Viral Maxx program.I had results with all of these except the last one which looks promising but I've not had the chance to fully test yet. With all of these sites you can achieve good results with free advertising -- but paid advertising or paid memberships will get results much faster with less of a time investment. Using a combination of paid and free advertising from these sites I've recruited approximately 150 members in the last two weeks.
